Look, we all know when you’re selling a car you’re probably not going to showcase the dents and grooves online.
It seems the same logic applies when people “advertise” themselves on dating apps, as it has been revealed that 52 per cent admit to telling a white lie on their dating profiles.
Research commissioned by iD mobile found that a whopping one in two people tell fibs online in order to paint themselves in the best light possible.
Worrying, almost one quarter of men have lied about being in a relationship *shudder*.
However, men are most likely to lie in their ‘interests’ section, with 33% admitting to being dishonest when filling this part out.
Interestingly, women are more likely to lie about their height than men, with 15% of women being “more economical with the truth” in this department.
Very naughty!
