This jilted bride quit her job to go travelling around the globe

This is a great story.

A British woman was left devastated four years ago when her fiancé left her just three months before their £20,000 wedding.

Naturally, she was left totally bereft after this incident, but her way of coping was pretty admirable.

The Independent report that Katy Colins left her job in public relations to travel the globe after her relationship ended.

She wrote about her experiences on her blog:

“Getting dumped is crap. No, it’s more than crap. It’s heart-shatteringly physically painful, overwhelming and all consuming.”

Although she was shocked at her ex’s decision, she described it as ‘the wake-up call’ that she needed. “I had a good job, a lovely house and lived a comfortable lifestyle but it lacked adventure, something I hoped travelling halfway around the world on my own would give me, and luckily it paid off.”

She’s given her wedding gown to a charity shop and hopes to inspire others to use setbacks to make a massive life change.

Colins blog has been so successful that she’s recently signed a book deal for three volumes about women who used travel to cope with their heartbreak.

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside! ??☀️ Where’s the best beach you’ve ever been?

“The main thing I want to convey in my books is that there’s hope, a second chance to make something of your life when things go wrong”.

Fair play to her.
