One couple from Gloucestershire proved to be extremely resourceful recently when they were priced out of the rental market. Adam Croft and Nikki Pepperell found the cost of renting too high and unable to buy their own home, instead spent £3,500 on converting a Ford Transit Luton van. The couple then went on to spend a year and approximately £6,500 transforming the van into a solar powered home,  complete with toilet and shower. They plan to tour Europe. (Click Gallery for more) That’s not all though, as it also has a fully-functioning kitchen, new flooring, insulation and a porch and they are now planning on quitting their jobs and heading off travelling in their new home. “The main idea behind it is that we found it far too expensive to rent here,” Adam explained. “We did it completely ourselves. It was the first time Nikki had picked up a drill and I hadn’t done any building work before,” he continued. That bed looks pretty cosy!
