A new study found from Stork shows that almost one in three Irish people (31 per cent) would be more attracted to a potential suitor if they could bake, which is good news considering 43 per cent of Irish people are now regular bakers, taking out the whisk at least once a month.
Maybe it has something to do with the smell? Seeing as 40 per cent of Irish people rank the smell of fresh bread and cake as their favourite smell…
It seems men are getting in on the act, with a third of guys taking up baking more than once a month.
And if you don’t know how to win the boss over when looking for that promotion?
Well 5 per cent try to literally butter up the boss with homemade baking when approaching their management for a promotion. But don’t worry if you have to fake it – you’re not alone. 10 per cent of people try to pass off a shop bought cake as their own creation.
