This recent quote from Barack Obama regarding Donald Trump says it all

President Obama just released a statement about the new President.

The 9th of November 2016 is a day that will be forever etched on our memories.

Today, Donald Trump was elected President of the United States and the world has absolutely no idea how to cope with this information.

We’ve tried to gather our thoughts and put them to paper, see here and here, but the fact remains that the future is a scary prospect with Trump at the helm.

President Obama has just spoken about the election outcome from The White House and remarked that everyone needs to “root for” Trump’s success in leading America.

Obama, who campaigned heavily for Trump’s opponent Hillary Clinton, acknowledged that while he and Trump have had their differences, “a sense of unity” is now needed.

“Ultimately we are all on the same team”.

While this statement focuses on the united front that must be presented following the result, a remark made by Obama at a rally for Hillary Clinton supporters on Sunday said something entirely different.

In the last few days of Trump’s campaign, it’s believed control of his Twitter account was taken from him according to The New York Times.

Spotted on Indy100, Obama referenced this in his speech on Sunday, voicing what everyone was thinking:

“In the last two days, they had so little confidence in his self-control they said we are just going to take away your Twitter. Now, if somebody can’t handle a Twitter account, they can’t handle the nuclear codes”.

Absolutely. Terrifying.
