We come across a lot of remarkable stories here at Her.ie but this is definitely one of our favourites...
Róisín Smith from Galway met Lucy when their parents were working on a business project, with the four-year-old spotting a photo on her father's laptop.
She was curious about Lucy's hair loss, leading her parents to explain that she had been diagnosed with lymphoma and lost her hair through chemotherapy.
The Gort native immediately wanted to help and decided to cut off her hair and donate it to the Little Princess Trust, a wig-making charity that provides real hair wigs to children in Ireland and the UK.
Her incredible gesture has raised €4,000 for Bumbleance and Róisín and Lucy have since continued their friendship by video-messaging from their respective counties.
Two amazing little girls.
You can see Róisín's fundraising page here.
