It just finished its’ first series.

Whether you liked history in school or not, there is no denying that there was a serious lack of women mentioned in those books. And that is not to say that they weren’t part of history.

Now, a YouTube channel called Feminist Frequency has made a series of videos all about bad-ass woman throughout history.

The Ordinary Women series consists of five episodes, each about lesser known women across the globe that had interesting and inspiration stories.

The videos are narrated by Anita Sarkeesian who founded the organisation that creates educational videos with a feminist perspective. They feature incredible artwork are relevant to the characters being discussed and are fascinating to watch.

Woman such as Ada Lovelace, Emma Goldman and Ida B. Wells feature in the series.

The best part is that each video is less than 6 minutes so they are very easy to get through and you can watch them all in one go and be better educated about powerful women in history, what’s not to love?
