Ignoring text messages is not grounds for divorce. Yes, you read that correctly.
One husband in Saudi Arabia has allegedly filed for divorce after his wife failed to respond to his WhatsApp messages.
When confronted the woman, who is apparently “addicted” to her cellular device, explained that she had not been in contact because she was on a call with a friend.
In an interview with Gulf News, the unhappy hubby said: “I sent her messages on WhatsApp and knew she had read them because of the latest update on the application, but still she didn’t answer them or acknowledged the messages.”
The man cited reasons for ending the relationship on the fact that his wife neglected their child and home as a result of being too busy on her mobile.
Trying to look on the positives, the man did appreciate that his wife needed her mobile phone to stay in contact with family and friends.
