Who said you need a man? Apparently, all you need is a trip to Japan to have your ideal wedding day… and marry yourself.
A Japanese travel company have started a new trend service in Kyoto, offering single ladies the chance to marry themselves. The package even includes spending a honeymoon night in a fancy hotel…
Travel company Cera are offering the ‘Solo Wedding’ to include a two-day trip, complete with dress fittings, choosing the perfect flowers for your bouquet as well as your hair and make-up for the big day.
Feel a little lonely in the official wedding album shots? Why not rent one of their custom stand-in grooms, which of course you can select from their books. They will also spend the night in the honeymoon suite… for an extra cost.
Speaking to the MailOnline, a spokesperson for Cera said:
“It is a truly unique experience and one that we are very proud of.
“All the details are taken care of by wedding professionals and for those who don’t want a traditional white wedding dress we offer our Geisha service, which sees the brides going on an historical photo shoot dressed up as Geishas.”
The initiative has been a success in Japan, with 10 women having already walked down the aisle solo, at a cost of around €2,000.
