Warning: the above video made us seriously emotional on this Sunday morning. Trust us when we tell you that it’s a tear-jerker but it’s also super-touching.
Seven year old Jack Hoffman had all his dreams come true when he got the chance to play football with his favourite team, the Nebraska Cornhuskers college football team. The little boy’s life was made when he got to run on the field alongside his heroes and score a touchdown.
It may not seem like a big deal to us but Jack has been suffering from brain cancer since August 2011 and it was always one of his dreams to play with the team.
Jack’s dream became a reality when, back in 2011, he developed a friendship with a man named Rex Burhead, who just happened to be a running back for Nebraska. Seeing how much it would mean to Jack, Rex went about setting up the opportunity for him.
The game took place yesterday and we can only imagine how amazing it was for Jack to score a touchdown and to receive such an amazing reception from the audience and the players alike.
Whether you’re into sport or not, you can’t deny that this is such an amazing gesture for a sick child. We love it.
