Tom Pearce will not be returning to TOWIE after angering bosses with his "lack of commitment".
According to The Sun, the 23-year-old refused to confirm if he would take part in the show's Christmas special and producers decided to end his involvement with the programme as a warning to other cast members.
"Tom's lack of enthusiasm got too much for bosses. Others could be ditched if they don't buck up their ideas," said a source.
The reality show has been mired in controversy in recent months, with James 'Arg' Argent suspended amid reports that he was partying too much.
Gemma Collins is believed to have returned to the show following her short-lived on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!.
