The city is wonderfully lit up around this time of year so it's the perfect time to visit. Just because it's winter, though, doesn't mean we have to forego all the usual Belfast attractions. We will, of course, be making the necessary trip to the Titanic Belfast. It's an absolute must-visit.
If we feel like something a bit more active, We Are Vertigo has Ireland's ONLY indoor skydiving facility. Kind of terrifying but we'd still so give it a go.
A great spot to stay in the city is the Titanic Hotel. It's very aptly named as it used to be offices of Harland & Wolff, which were the largest ship builders in the world in the 1900s. Also it's right beside the Titanic Belfast visitor attraction, so there's that. The hotel just a short bus ride away from the city hall (where the Christmas market it is on) or if you're in Belfast for a show or concert, the hotel is a five minute walk from the SSE Arena. Ideal.
They also have a lovely little festive shopping offer this November and December, which includes an overnight stay in a nautical-themed room with breakfast, Prosecco on arrival (not a bad welcome at all), and a gift voucher for Victoria Square where you can do some of that all-important Christmas shopping. That sounds like just the deal for us, thank you kindly.
Looks like our next weekend trip is sorted.
Brought to you by Titanic Hotel Belfast.
Festive shopping offer: overnight B&B, glass of Prosecco on arrival, £30 voucher for Victoria Square each, complimentary car parking space on night of stay. From £99 (about €110) per person, subject to availability, T&Cs apply.
