1) The morning coffee
Yes they cost an absolute bomb over the long run, but what’s the harm in a couple of euro spent on an odd occasion to make your day ahead a lot easier from the off. Treat yourself.
2) The catch-up chat
When you make it to the office, take five and catch up with your colleagues. Share a funny story and spend a few minutes being friends instead of co-workers. It’s good to laugh.
3) Delete the evidence
An empty inbox is a joy on certain occasions. Give yourself some time to clear out those 527 mails you never planned on getting back to in the first place. Aaaaaand breathe.
4) Take your break
No one takes a proper lunch break anymore. For one day, stop being a desk diner and get up and out. Stretch your legs, get some fresh air and actually chew your food before you swallow.
5) Skip the housework
Who cares if the ironing sits in the basket for another 24 hours? You’ve made it through the working day at this stage, and that’s enough effort for one day. Relax.
6) Lather up
No ducking in under a ten second lukewarm shower. Bubble bath it is, with the nice scented candles and maybe even a herbal cuppa or some sneaky chocolate. Turn up the music, turn down the stress.
7) Early to bed, early to rise…
Now that you’ve tackled Tuesday, make Wednesday easier in advance with an early cut-off. If you have it in you, change the sheets on the bed. Fresh sheets are one of the best feelings in the world. You’ve earned it.
