The sunny skies come as our neighbours in Britain look set for temperatures reaching into the mid-30s.
If today's a write-off, you could always request tomorrow off - as temperatures will again hit mid-20s. Met Éireann are predicting afternoon highs of 18 to 25 degrees C, highest in northeastern areas.
We can expect some rain overnight on Wednesday and a bit of a dip in the heat on Thursday, but a "fresher" day with afternoon temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees C and light southwesterly winds.
The weekend is currently looking a little cooler, with "afternoon temperatures more typically in the high teens".
