A new postcode system for Ireland will launch later today but has already provoked much debate on Twitter.  The new Eircode system will see every single house in the country receive its own unique code in order to make it easier for people and businesses to find addresses. While the codes will be sent out to homes nationwide, you can also search for it on their website which has proven to be a source of much amusement for Twitter users.

According to Eircode, I actually grew up at an address in Longford. I never even knew.
