Frustrated fans have criticised boyband sensation The Wanted’s steep €127 annual fee to join their new fan club.
Furious teenagers labelled ‘Wanted World’ “money-grabbing” and a “p*sstake” yesterday.
For the €127, fans are offered exclusive content like web-chats, behind-the-scenes footage and ‘first-listens’ to the band’s new tracks. However, the majority of the fans believe the site should be free to use.
Teenage fans set to Twitter yesterday to vent their anger and share opinions on the expensive fan website.

One Direction and JLS fans explained how their favourite bands give their fan club members special features for free.
Details of the site, which goes live tomorrow, were emailed to fans who spent €127 for VIP tickets to the boyband’s last arena tour.
A spokesman for the site said fans could choose to pay €127 for platinum access to the site, €50 for gold or else continue to use the free site.
He added; “Of course we understand that not all fans will want to or can afford the subscription offering, which is why the existing offering will continue.”
The band consists of Irishman Siva Kaneswaran and UK hotties, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker, Max George and Jay McGuinness.
The boys have gained a huge fan base thanks to their hits ‘Glad You Came’ and ‘All Time Low’, but it looks like this latest move will affect their sky-high popularity.
