Callan's Kicks takes a trip down 'Superpower Street'...
The television series, scripted by comedian Oliver Callan, who also stars, produces and directs it, alongside Republic of Telly’s, James Cotter, is a biting satirical swipe at politics, sport, music and the media, and on Friday's show, Barack Obama, David Cameron, Angela Merkin and Vladimir Putin were in the mix.
Some folk may argue that the ‘big dogs’ in charge of our welfare belong on the streets of Sesame than those that house parliament buildings and so Callan introduced us to ‘Superpower Street’.
German Chancellor Merkel and Russian President Putin are without doubt the sketches’ highlights, “you should be shirtless, riding bear”, a stuffed Putin tells the others.
We must hand it to the folk with the fantastic sewing skills, Barack Obama has never looked more like himself.
“We may be muppets, but you’re the muppets that voted us in…” Touché Obama, touché.
