Crosby the Golden Retriever loves Squirrels and was chasing one when she ended up falling through a frozen lake shortly before Christmas.
Boston fire fighters received the call and immediately set out to help the four-legged damsel in distress.
Their efforts didn't go unnoticed as one of our favourite women in Hollywood, Ellen, seen the rescue video and invited Dave, Paul, Joan and Jim onto the show to let the retell their story.
Ellen admitted that she adores animals and had to thank the four in person, supplying them with their very own life jackets that had her face emblazoned on each. But of course that wasn't all.
The host then surprised each of the fire fighters with a Caribbean cruise.
Ah, Ellen. You're a great woman.
