A teenager who took a smiling selfie outside Auschwitz concentration camp has defended her decision.
Breanna Mitchell, who received death threats after the photo went viral, said she wouldn't do anything differently as "she didn't mean any harm".
The Alabama teenager said that the photo was for her father who had said he would take her to visit Auschwitz, but sadly passed away before he got the chance to do so.
In an interview with TakePart Live, Breanna said: "I don't know how it even escalated because that picture was there a month before and nobody had said anything to me about it.
"I literally woke up one morning and had a thousand things on my phone, like notifications [sic]. I've had death threats, I've had people telling me to kill myself".
