VIDEO: Irish Equality Minister Had To Remove A “Yes Vote” Pin On The Saturday Night Show

Equality Minister for Ireland, Aodhán O'Ríordaín, appeared on the Saturday Night Show last night and was asked to remove a pin supporting a "Yes Vote" in the upcoming marriage referendum. The minister, who was on the show to discuss the National Drugs Strategy, was asked to take off the pin by show host Brendan O' Connor. RTÉ presenter Scott De Buitléir recently quit his job at RTÉ because of the national broadcaster's stance on the referendum and last night, he posted a video of the Saturday Night Show incident.

Aodhán himself also took to social media to discuss #PinGate, a hashtag he himself started, and needless to say, there has been a lot of reaction online.
