It’s all happening in Westmeath this week from pints of MiWadi causing a major furore to half the town being woken up on Sunday night thanks to an explosion.
According to The Westmeath Topic, an 85kg cylinder of highly volatile oxy-acetylene gas was set on fire in an estate in Mullingar. It seems that the cylinder was placed in an empty oil drum and then (we imagine) the person who caused it, legged it.
Along with waking up the whole town, setting off car alarms and driving poor dogs crazy, the event was also captured on CCTV.
