Well, they do say it's the happiest day of your life...
Ed and Caroline Corless tied the knot recently and made sure the occasion was a very happy one indeed, roping friends and family in for this fantastic video, filmed by Ronan McDonogh of Rmedia, who happens to be the groom's brother in law.
Caroline told us that she met her future husband in Penneys of all places (thank you Penneys), thirteen years ago. Both were managers in the retail chain at the time.
They became friends, but didn't stay in touch when they moved on from the store.
In 2010, however, they would find their way back into each other's lives. Caroline writes: "I joined a tag rugby team in 2010. I did not know anyone, and when I arrived at the first tag training session the first person on the pitch was Ed. We hadn't seen each other in eight years and hit it off!"
Ed proved himself to be quite a romantic at heart, as he proposed to Caroline on "20/12/2012 at 20.12". She said it was a "complete surprise" when her beloved popped the question in her parents' garden.
Caroline said: "My dad does a Christmas light display every year and we arrived down for the big switch-on. My entire family was there and when we counted down and switched on the lights there was a 10ft by 3ft 'marry me' sign (you can see it in the video!) and he got down on one knee with the most perfect ring. Right size and all! He had met my dad six months beforehand, told him what his plan was and asked for my hand!
How's this for a great start to 'Happily Ever After'?!
