Co. Fermanagh ladies were four points ahead leading into the dying minute of this afternoon's All-Ireland Intermediate Semi-Final match against Tipperary.
However in a dramatic turn of events, Tipp managed to turn it round to win the game and secure their place in the final.
In a spectacular display at Semple stadium, Tipperary’s Niamh Lonergan kicked a point over the bar and teammate Claire Carroll seized an opportunity for a goal to level scores. And with seconds on the clock Lonergan managed another terrific point just as the buzzer sounded for full-time.
A truly heartbreaking loss for Fermanagh ladies who were very evidently gutted by the incredible one-point defeat.
