The Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway is back in town this October, with this year’s event boasting its longest ever programme running for a full 12 days and two weekends.
The festival, running from Thursday, 16th – Monday 27th October, features the best of the international and Irish international comedy talents including Tommy Tiernan, David O’Doherty, Des Bishop, Simon Amstel as well as our own JOE brother Eric Lalor amongst the line-up.
Dotted along comedy venues across the city, the festival will also use the world-famous Spiegeltent ‘Paradiso’ - a stunning 500 capacity venue is a 1930’s European wooden tent featuring a luxurious interior including unique mirrors, leaded glass plus a lush velvet and brocade finish.
Speaking at the programme announcement, Festival Director, Kevin Healy said:
"We are delighted to welcome our new title sponsor, Vodafone and to announce our new dates, making this our most ambitious programme so far. We also want to thank our supporters at Failte Ireland, Galway City Council and Diageo for helping to make the Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway possible and look forward to welcoming great comedians and comedy fans to the West this October."
