The medical team were on standby on the set of The Voice of Ireland on Sunday night just in case Helena Bradley Bates went into early labour.
But thankfully for them, her fifth child waited until Monday to make an appearance in the world.
According to the
Irish Independent the singer, who missed out on a place in next week’s final, gave birth to a baby boy at Wexford General Hospital.

Little Ewan Bradley Bates, who weighed 7lb 12oz, is the second child for Helena and her partner Neil. They are also parents to one-year-old Ordhran.
She has three children – 18-year-old Dean, 16-year-old Ayla and 13-year-old Callum – from a previous relationship.
The 41-year-old mum made it almost all of the way in this year’s series of the singing competition.
