WATCH: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has sent this truly inspiring video message to a 15-year-old Irish boy battling cancer

Much respect to The Rock...

As Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson takes a festive break from his ongoing quest to take over the world, he has brilliantly taken the time to record a very special video message for a young Irish boy called Tommy Hanley. Tommy is a huge fan of The Rock and is battling Stage 4 cancer, so we're sure this message is incredibly uplifting and heartening for him to receive. As well as recording the below video, Johnson also wrote this lovely message to Tommy on his Instagram page:

"This one's for my buddy Tommy Hanley. Just found out he's a huge fan, 15yrs old, living in Ireland and battling stage 4 cancer. I've never met you, but I already know so much about you and can tell you're an awesome, honorable and strong young man. Make sure you eat up dude and get your rest. Those two things are gonna help you stay strong during this fight. Stay being the coolest kid and always keep in mind how much you inspire all your family and friends - including me. We're all pulling for you Tommy! Stay strong and Merry Christmas to you and your family ~ Uncle Rock aka Dwanta Claus"
