Josh Paler Lin, a YouTube prankster, usually makes videos purely for entertainment.This Christmas he decided to make a social experiment. But he wasn’t expecting this reaction.
Josh gave a homeless man Thomas $100, posing the question – how would he spend the new fortune?
While the YouTube vlogger filmed the man going into an off-licence, his pre-misconception of how the homeless man would spend the money was quickly dispelled.
This video is deeply moving, and proves you can’t judge people too quickly.

After revealing himself to the homeless man, and apologising him for filming him in secret, Josh asked Thomas how he ended up on the streets.
Lin has since decided to set up a fundraising page to help Thomas start his life over – with donations topping $50,000 already.
Speaking to The Huffington Post, Lin promised the video is not staged, saying:
