When Matt Diaz was 16-years old, he knew he needed to lose weight.
The teen started a strict health, fitness and nutrition plan and now six years later he’s lost 270lbs.
What Matt wasn’t expecting was the excess skin he’d be left with…
Addressing YouTubers in his video, Matt said:
"I'm a big advocate for body positivity, but I've never shown what my excess skin looks like. I think it's important that I do, because I want to be open with new people about who I am and what my body is like.
"I've never done this before and I'm really, really scared, so don't judge too much."
"I work really hard and there's just nothing I can do about it. I'm scared people won't find me attractive anymore.”
"But I'm not going to be ashamed of who I am, not anymore."

Diaz launched a GoFundMe page asking for donations to help pay for skin removal surgery – which has been estimated at $20,000 for the young man, but was shocked when the page received $24,915 in less than 24 hours.
Thanking people for their donations, Diaz wrote:
"I can't believe how much attention this has gotten in the last hour or so. You all are so incredible."
