There’s a lot to be said for some humorous innuendo but it seems Sony PlayStation overstepped the mark with its latest advertising campaign.
The gaming giants uploaded an advert for the PlayStation 4 onto their European YouTube channel on Friday and it wasn’t long before the video was pulled entirely.
The clip featured a very attractive brunette ‘Dr. Grace Powels’ who blatantly alludes to masturbation as the advertising slogan reads ‘Never Stop Playing’.
“I bet you've already done it today and I bet you really enjoyed yourself”, she tells the camera.
“How many times have you done it today? Are you afraid you're doing it too often? In your bedroom under the blankets? Or perhaps you prefer the kitchen or on the toilet? Or do you like it in the garden?"
The controversial PlayStation advert has similarities to Xbox’s ‘Everyone’s Doing It’ campaign, which was banned in 2010.
