That's what he gets for showing off.

That Facebook location feature has shafted us countless times.

However, nothing compares to what happened to this not-so-smooth criminal.

Justin Taulbee had been serving time in a county jail in Kentucky for probation violation, robbery and resisting arrest, when he managed to escape the facility.

Showing off

Authorities immediately noticed he was missing and released surveillance footage in a bid to find him.

However, they needn’t have worried too much as Justin was already basically sending out a Facebook flare alerting them to his location.

According to LadBible, Taulbee’s friend, Jesse Cline, soon uploaded a video in which Justin shapes around a shed and says things like “new release coming to a theatre near you”.

Not only did she tag her wanted friend in the footage, but she added the location too.

A mere matter of hours later, Justin was arrested while in bed with his girlfriend, and was confused as to how he had been found.

According to Kentucky State Police Trooper Joe Veenemen: “He asked if someone had turned him in.

“The trooper advised the reason he was able to locate him was because of the video he had posted on Facebook. Once the trooper told him that he didn’t believe it.”

A classic case of too cocky too quickly.
