Getting into university can be a real challenge.
It can be extremely stressful not knowing if you’ve gotten a place or not and getting that acceptance letter is one of the best feelings in the world.
This footage of one American girl, Mickey Deputy, who has Down’s syndrome is sure to bring a lot of nostalgic feelings to many of us getting that prized acceptance letter.
The Indianapolis teen was sitting down with her very important letter, mad to know had she gotten that much-coveted place in her university of choice.
Mickey will be attending the ‘INSPIRE’ programme in Franklin College, which helps people with disabilities to find employment after they finish their course in education.
Speaking to the Indianapolis Star, the future student spoke of her proud achievement:
“I am most excited to get to experience the college life because I never thought I would ever be able to… And making college friends.”
She seems like a total darling from this clip:
What a hero!
Fans on Twitter were keen to wish Miss Deputy well:
Congratulations @mickey_deputy on graduating from high school tonight & attending @FranklinCollege in the fall! Keep God 1st & you’ll be ok!
