Brian Green popped the question to girlfriend Christina McGinnis in 2010, but the couple found planning their wedding was stressful, overwhelming and extrememly expensive.
As well as looking after their one-year old daughter Aspen, the pair decided that a ceremony would be too time-consuming and costly and put it on the back-burner.
Speaking to NBC, Brian said the stress of the planning had taken the fun out of their engagement:
"It took away the purpose and excitement of being married. The wedding is just the ceremony. The marriage is what's important, so I just wanted to focus on the marriage."
So Brian decided to surprise his bride with a rather unique take on the big day.
Enlisting the help of a photographer friend, Brian had Christina turn up at the local Mall of Georgia to take part in a bridal photography project.
His whole plan went off without a hitch too, with Christina admitting she “Didn’t have a clue, not one clue.”
This is pretty spectacular work!
