Waterford’s Patricia Jackman has been crowned the 2015 Poc Fada champion after an epic battle on the Annaverna Mountain range on Saturday.
This is the Waterford star’s seventh All-Ireland Poc Fada title and she just had the edge over Connacht’s Catriona Daly, winning the course in 27 pocs, 34 metres, in comparison to Daly’s 27 pocs, 32 metres.
Ulster champion Catherine McGourty of Down came in third place on 29 pocs, 6 metres, with Aisling Corbett in fourth (29 pocs, 4metres).
