Wayne Rooney decided to share a celebratory St Patrick's Day message but neglected to double check one detail.
Spotted on METRO, the Manchester United captain posted a Throwback Thursday memory on Instagram with the caption: "Celebrating with my mates. Happy St Patrick’s Day".
He added a couple of emojis but instead of choosing the Irish flag, he opted for the Ivory Coast one.
It's an easy mistake to make seeing as the Ivory Coast flag is orange, white and green and the Irish one is green, white and orange.
The caption on the ohoto has since been adapted to show the correct flag but a definite face palm moment all the same.
