These are a few of our favourite things… for this week at least.

Life’s a Beach

This week, Sue FINALLY got to go to the beach in this nice sunny weather. She was pretty delighted as this opportunity only usually comes about once a year so she braved the water for the day. Unfortunately, it was freezing so she drank some wine instead but she did get this amazing picture.

98 to National

Michelle visits her pals Dermot and Dave at 98FM every Monday, and she even gets a Shelly’s Telly jingle. This week she, and the entire Her.ie team, were THRILLED to hear the news that the lads have gotten the call up to the big(ger) leagues, and from August the entire country will be able to listen to the pair as they make the move to national station Today FM.

Lazy Lounging

Michelle is all about taking advantage of the sunshine this week too. Since she hadn’t ventured into the back garden of her house since moving in three months ago, this meant some shopping was necessary. Michelle hightailed it to Heatons for some bargain beauties from  the new Summer Living range, and is especially delighted with this hot pink sun lounger, a steal at €21.

What Kate Did Next

Cathy tends to change her girl crush more often than she has hot dinners often due to a stunning dress, a statement bag or beautiful shoes. This week, she’s crushing on Kate Mara for two reasons: she’s finally caught up to everyone else and got on the House of Cards bandwagon and the second is Mara’s amazing style. Her fierce Dolce and Gabbana minidress below is just one example, don’t get Cathy started as she doesn’t know quite when to stop!

Best Foot Forward

Rebecca is loving her Emjoi MICRO Pedi which is a home pedicure device. As well as leaving your feet feeling and looking beautiful, it helps to relax after a long day at work. What more could you want?

Let It Go

Liz is a not so secret fan of musical theatre, so when she got the chance to spend a weekend with like-minded enthusiasts in Kerry at AIMS, she had a ball (who doesn’t love a 6am sing-along in the hotel bar?) From Frozen duets to donning a ballgown, she was one happy camper. She also got to recreate the Oscar selfie with some of the most talented ladies she knows. Not too bad at all.

Anyone for a cuppa?

Marie is a firm believer that long days require a little help from the amazing thing that is caffeine but an addiction to takeaway coffee can do serious damage to a girl’s bank balance. Luckily, she’s discovered that the new espresso capsule from Lidl are not just tasty but also ridiculously cheap at just €1.99!

Just Keep Swimming

Sue finished her swimming lessons this week after 8 weeks of training so she is pretty delighted to graduate to improvers and can finally breathe underwater properly. She began swimming for the Lifestyle Challenge so the pay off has been amazing.

(This is not Sue, she just thinks that she is now this good)

Greek Goddesses

Our friends at Ben and Jerry’s dropped in some delicious treats to help us cool down this week. We have a lot of time for those guys. A lot.

Pamper Time

Last weekend, Grace headed down to Enfield in Co.Meath to spend some time in the lovely Johnstown House Hotel and Spa. Trying to earn herself some brownie points, she asked her Mum to go along with her. Friday night they kicked back and enjoyed some wind down time with gorgeous food and a glass of wine, however the trip’s highlight arrived Friday morning, when the pair went off for treatments in the spa and enjoyed lunch in the newly opened Spa Dee Dah café. Here they are just before making their journey back to the orchard county, looking like brand new ladies.
