These are a few of our favourite things...

These are a few of our favourite things… for this week at least.

Feel like chicken, tonight?

Our pals at Nando’s dropped in lunch this week… and their version of lunch is enough to feed an army. So, we shared with our JOE bros and a feast was had in a very happy office. Some members of our team consider themselves Nando’s aficionados, so seeing the newbies enjoy their first taste was quite the treat. Needless to say they’re all hooked now. Anyone for a friday night chicken treat? We’ll see you there.

Crazy for Kilkenny

A little piece of Kilkenny came to Fumbally Lane thanks to the lovely folk at the Kilkenny Shop. One very fashionable double decker pulled up outside the office on Thursday and the Her ladies were escorted from the building to the bus via an absolute dapper gent sporting one fine tuxedo. Grace was in her element as she sipped French Martini’s, eating delicious baked goods and getting a sneak peak at the Kilkenny Shop’s Autumn/Winter collection. Could this be the greatest bus ever?! The answer to that of course is yes.

Who let the dogs out?

The incredible people at My Canine Companion visited us on Wednesday of this week, and it’s safe to say we fell in love. This national charity was founded in 2011 by Cliona O’Rourke to provide highly trained and skilled assistance dogs to people with disabilities, particularly autism. Assistance Dogs are fully trained to the standard of Assistance Dogs Europe, (ADEu), and each Assistance Dog costs the charity just over €10,000 to train. The period of training covers the two years from birth right through to graduation as an Assistance Dog. These special dogs also become the child’s best and two very special children, Ava and Jake, visited the office with furry friends Teddy, Benny, Shelly and Harper.

Bopping with Bonnie

Michelle is off to EP too this weekend, thanks to the lovely folks at Electric Ireland. Mostly, to see absolute 80s LEGEND Bonnie Tyler. Hearing those husky vocals live will be a dream come true for this child of the 80s, so if you see her going completely mental up the front, just smile and nod.

Nailed It

Liz has a confession to make. Autumn is her FAVOURITE time of year for dressing. All the autumnal colours flatter the paler skin, chunky knits keep you cosy and everyone knows the right accessories are worth their weight in gold. This of course means matching your nails, which is perfect considering she’s in love with this new Max Factor Gel Shine Lacquer.

It’s a little vampy in No.60 Sheen Merlot, but looks sleek and glossy. It’s also easy to apply, so no smudges! Win!

Dancing in Dingle

This week, one of Sue‘s very close friends is getting married in Dingle so she is off to spend some quality time in the West this weekend. Apparently, Dingle is one of the best villages in Ireland…

Partaaay at the Picnic!

Marie and Grace are off to Electric Picnic and are very excited about the prospect of three days of music and madness. Whether you’re Stradbally-bound or heartbroken at not having a ticket, keep an eye on the site as well as our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram feeds over the weekend for all the news and gossip! It’ll be almost as good as being there… almost.

Making Scents

Cathy is a bit of a perfume fiend so when she heard about the new Lancome Vie Est Belle illuminating fragrance oil (€40), she got a little excited. It’s for both the hair and body and who can resist a double whammy like that. Patchouli, vanilla and praline… believe us when we say it’s good enough to eat.

In the Club

Friday morning got off to a wonderful start when Centra called in with coffees and Club Milks for the office. They have a special Back To School offer today whereby you can buy a Club Milk for only 1c when you purchase a coffee. We’re not back to school, but we’re very happy to take advantage of the offer.

Pucker Up

Sue has literally developed an obsession with this lipstick which she swears by. Apparently it stays on all day, even after eating and drinking. It also comes in amazing shades.
