These are a few of our favourite things… for this week at least.

I’ll Drink To That

The SuperValu French Wine Sale started yesterday. To celebrate, the retailers sent us a delicious delivery of reds, white and bubbly bottles. (Sometimes, we have the best job ever).  SuperValu are hosting a series of in-store wine tastings to celebrate their French wine sale, so check out your local store for details. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to uncork one of these absolute beauties.

Oh, We’re Going to Ibiza

Michelle went on her holidays last week (after singing Vengaboys tunelessly for the past two months) and since her return has not stopped raving about the fabulous Fiesta Hotel Cala Llonga. An all-inclusive package in a quiet resort set on a cliff overlooking the crystal waters will go a long way to leaving a girl the most relaxed she’s been in years. The staff were fab, the setting was divine, the food was… enough to make her put on some weight… and the parties were within taxi distance. What’s not to love? You can check it out with Falcon Holidays here.

Face On

The self-confessed clueless about make-up Mary discovered the wonder that is primer this week when she picked up Benefit’s Stay Flawless 15-hour primer… her life will officially never be the same again… someone is going to have to keep her away from the Benefit counter though, rumour has it that she’s a sucker for pretty packaging!

Revisiting Dr. Crane

Rebecca decided to take a trip down television memory lane by buying the complete collection of Frasier, starring Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde Pierce. She remembers being allowed to stay up late on a Friday night when she was younger to watch the show with her parents but she never saw the final series. She reckons the antics of Dr Crane and co (including Eddie the dog) will keep her busy until Christmas… which she is also rather excited about!

Let The Music Play

There’s nothing like the thrill of finding a great new album and Marie has been listening to one record solidly for the past week. Possibly the most-anticipated Irish album of the past year, Andrew Hozier-Byrne’s self-titled debut was released last Friday and has certainly lived up to the hype. Hozier is blend of dark lyrics, uplifting melodies and some seriously accomplished blues guitar and we would recommend buying it immediately…. if not sooner.

All About The Brows

Cathy has no clue when it comes to brows. It’s less perfectly sculpted arches and more pluck a few stray hairs. So when she came across this NYC Brow kit, she got VERY excited. Wax, tweezers, brow powder and an angled brow brush…all for the great price of €2.99. If you’re also useless with the brow situation, then you need to check this out.

Well Heeled

Liz may not be the most fashion forward at the table (she blames a love for full-skirts and 50s style) but she fell for these beautiful monochrome peep toe shoes at the Bionda Castana show at Paris Fashion Week. Paris (fashion), Je T’aime. And everyone knows monochrome goes with EVERYTHING. She’ll now be watching the onslaught of accessories like a magpie for anything metallic and shiny.

Now if she could just start saving the pennies to actually afford such a beautiful treat…

Bubbles, Diamonds and a Slice

Cathy and Michelle joined the lovely people at Dr. Oetker this week for an evening aboard The Boat restaurant on North Wall Quay, to celebrate the company’s amazing giveaway with Appleby jewellers. We sipped some prosecco and sampled their new flavours, while listening to a fascinating talk about jewellery from the experts at Appleby. To celebrate Dr. Oetker’s 10th birthday, they’re giving fans the chance to win €10,000 in diamonds from Appleby. You can find out more here.

Joy To The World

This week Grace met up with the lovely Vance Joy ahead of his headline show at The Academy, Dublin. The Australian singer-songwriter performed a beautiful stripped back version of his latest track, Mess Is Mine, for The Sunday Sessions. Stay tuned to hear Joy in all his glory this Sunday, until then here is an image for you to swoon over. (Yes, Grace thinks she’s in love).
