We always had a feeling that there would be a How I Met Your Mother spin-off but as soon as the confirmation came along, it was time to start figuring out exactly who was going to play the new characters in How I Met Your Dad.
Today, it has been announced that the voice of the mother for the new series will be none other than Meg Ryan. On How I Met Your Mother, the father was voiced by Bob Saget.
Ryan will voice the mother, Sally, in the future while Greta Gerwig plays the present Sally.
However, Ryan herself will not appear in the production, it will merely just be her voice, just like Bob Saget.
As of yet, there is no release date for the show by CBS, but it is sure to gain quite a few fans from the legions of
How I Met Your Mother followers.
