We’ve Never Seen A Dog Like This Before! Baby Squirrel Gets Adopted By Some Unlikely Parental Figures

Okay, stop everything because this is officially the cutest thing that we have ever seen. EVER. Not only does this story reaffirm our faith in human kindness, it also makes our hearts go squishy (but in the best way possible).

An incredibly compassionate Reddit user called ‘Iamcleverhoneybadger’ found this little guy on the side of the road. The baby squirrel’s mammy had been hit by a car and he was clining to her body, trying to keep warm.

Apple Moonbeam the day he was found

The Reddit user immediately came to the squirrels aid and brought him home. Now Apple Moonbeam (the five-week-old squirrel) is being nursed back to heath and he’s made some new friends to play with too (as the YouTube video illustrates).

According to the Reddit user, their pet dogs (Maverick and Scout) have completely taken over squirrel-protecting duties and absolutely love the newest addition to their family. The dogs have been playing with the squirrel and treating them as one of their own. Cute or what?

As it stands, Apple Moonbeam is thriving which is great news. He had a shaky start but with the kindness of his new family, he’s getting back to where he needs to be health-wise.
