So, we’re sort of loving this amazing version of Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe by The Bottle Boys. Why? Well, the only instrument used in the entire thing is the humble bottle. Who knew plastic and glass could be so musical?
The Bottle Boys are a unique band that hails from Denmark. They use self-invented bottle instruments in all sorts of shapes and sizes in order to cover popular songs. They then upload their ‘bottle jams’ to YouTube where they already have a strong following of fans.
The band originally formed back in 2005 with a handful of “modest bottle whistles” but since then the boys have experimented with more and more bottles and put together their own little orchestra of plastic.
Their most recent creation? A full drum kit made entirely of plastic bottles. Now that’s impressive.
In their own words, the band’s main goal is to simply “breathe life into the party.” We definitely think they’ve managed to achieve their wish with this ridiculously catchy version of the hit song.
