Woman says her boyfriend won’t marry her until she loses weight

We've all been there - it's no fun having to break it to one of your friends that her boyfriend is actually a bit of a f*ckboy. A woman has reached out for advice online after her other half admitted he was putting off marrying her for the worst reason. Reddit user Toofat2wife (yes, really) wrote that her boyfriend of five years said he'd like to marry her and have kids but that "he doesn't see himself proposing until I've become more fit." "My weight is something I've struggled with over the years since I was pretty much a teenager," she said. She continued that she's now at a 'normal' weight (no such thing, in our opinion) but has recently put on weight due to an injury. She claims that she wants to become more fit too but is upset that her boyfriend is using it as a condition of marriage. The couple own a home together and have a "pretty solid life built together," the woman explained. "He says that he wants to spend his life with me and that he isn't going to break up with me but he really wants to see me more fit. Marriage is more important to me than him, he would be okay with staying common law for the rest of our lives. "I don't want to make a bad decision by breaking up with him if I'm simply over reacting. He's my best friend and I really enjoy our life together." Girl, no.
