A Facebook post shared by a woman named Mar Ortiz went viral this week, with people praising its body-positive message.

Mar, whom you may recognise from US reality TV show Big Women: Big Love, describes herself as “curvy girl in a superficial world”.

She posted a black and white photo of herself standing in front of a mirror with the caption: “Someone told me “Mar you’re losing weight….’ I said ‘Really? You think so?’

I eat a burger, fries and pizza like everyday…” LOL Why does size matter?Big or small…. I love my LOVE handles! I don’t care about having abs or eating a salad everyday.

‪#‎celebratemysize‬ everyday! I love my curves and body. If I want to lose weight it will be a personal choice and it shouldn’t matter to anyone else but me”.

The reaction to Mar’s post was overwhelmingly positive and to date, it has been shared over 33,000 times.

However, there was a little negative backlash and Mar had this to say to her haters: “Ladies always love yourself! To hell with what anyone thinks!!! Here’s a non-slutty post for you judgemental internet trolls”.
