It looks like Six One presenter Brian Dobson is channeling his inner Helen Lovejoy this morning, with his turn on the Simpsons character’s well-known catchphrase ‘Won’t Somebody Please Think of the Children’.
The straight-laced news broadcaster took to his Twitter account this afternoon to express his dismay at the welcome we’re providing for First Lady Michelle Obama and her daughters Sasha and Malia, who are currently in Dublin while POTUS himself is at Lough Erne resort, where the G8 summit is in progress.
Asking his 32,000+ followers to #spareathoughtforthekids, Brian doesn't seem too impressed with our entertainment options for the First Daughters, in his words “a genealogy lecture, the Book of Kells, Glendalough, a pub lunch and Bono!”
He finished by asking; “What was your worst childhood holiday?”. Ouch. Is there still time to bring Mosney back to its former glory and take them there? Best childhood holiday EVER.
