‘He is an easy man to fall in love with. I did it in one day’.
The words of award-winning writer Amy Krouse Rosenthal are almost too heartbreaking to imagine.
Writing in the New York Times, Amy, the beloved children’s author of “The Little Pea”, admits that her terminal cancer is leaving her with little time.
And so, as her final Valentines gift, she’s written a personal ad for Jason, her husband of 26 years.
She speaks of his attributes as a father, his love of traveling, his handsome face, and how he turned up to their first ultrasound with flowers.
Leaving a space in the article for a fresh start, she hopes that the second love of her husband’s life will read her piece and find him.
Fans have been taking to social media to show their support for the author.
