Stereo Kicks were voted off the X Factor last night and it seems that their bad luck is set to continue, with a photo of one of the band's singers using drugs emerging online.
The image allegedly shows Jake Sims in a 'ketamine-induced stupor', with his tongue hanging out of his mouth and his eyes rolling back in his head as he lies on the carpet of a hotel room.
According to The Sun, the photo was taken 18 months ago and a show insider said that his association with use of the drug, which is meant to be used as a horse tranquiliser, could damage the band's chances of launching a successful career following their elimination.
This is the second scandal to hit the band, with nude photos of Sims and bandmate Barclay Beales also surfacing online during their time in the show.
“Jake openly admits he’s done some stupid things in the past, and he’s apologised. But it seems to be one scandal after another, and this is particularly serious. Stereo Kicks are already role models to thousands of young fans, many of them of school-going age and who should not be exposed to this kind of image.”
