If you're looking to get a last-minute break in before the end of the year but can't quite afford to go abroad and hit the Christmas markets, we might just have the perfect alternative. Every year without fail, Home Alone gets us in the festive mood and it's not unheard of to start watching it in November to properly prepare for the silly season. However, if watching at home isn't enough for you and you'd rather go one step further, you'll be happy to know that one Irish hotel is here to fulfil your Home Alone dreams. For one night only, you can live like Kevin McAllister himself complete with cheese pizza, sweets galore and ice cream. As diehard fans of the films will know, Kevin loved to chill in his bathrobe and watch films, you can do the same with Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, the perfect festive movie marathon. Lough Erne Resort in Fermanagh has dreamed up the fun idea and we have a feeling it's going to be very popular with fans of the much-loved Christmas classic. Just like Kevin, you'll get to live it up in a suite with a trolley laden with ice cream and candy jars before room service arrives. This Home Alone themed night is available from the 1-23 of December and it comes with breakfast in the Catalina restaurant and access to the Infinity Pool in the Thai Spa. To avail of the Home Alone fun, it's €300 per person sharing from Sunday to Thursday and €345 per person sharing on Friday and Saturday. However, there is the option of a mini Home Alone night if you'd rather keep it simple and cosy up in your room - ice cream, popcorn and both movies for €136 during the week/€225 at the weekend. What I'm really loving is the fact that you can do some Christmas shopping while you're there, think gift vouchers and a €30 luxury spa experience candle that includes lemongrass, ginger, cassis & heliotrope - YUM.
