Even if you don’t consider yourself a thief, chances are you’ve either knowingly or unknowingly stolen something in your lifetime.
In a survey carried out by Paintballing.co.uk, over a thousand people were asked what they felt was acceptable to steal without having a guilty conscious.
Pens from IKEA stores, Argos and the bookies, fruit from the supermarket and sweets from a Pick a Mix are among the items that people steal without ever feeling guilty but the most tempting items that people couldn’t resist were shampoo bottles from hotel rooms.
93 percent of those surveyed said that they had no qualms about fleecing their hotel bathrooms.

Hotel shampoo is on the hit list...
Second on the list was internet access with 88 percent of people admitting that they would happily access a neighbours internet access if it wasn’t password protected.
Those who work in offices also like to help themselves to stationary with 27 percent admitting that they pocket pens, note pads and envelopes from their employers.
And 22 percent said they’d happily pinch tea and coffee from a co-worker without them knowing.
A spokesman for Paintballing.co.uk, said: “Everyone loves a freebie but it seems the lines between what is intended as a complimentary give away and what is someone else’s property isn’t always clear.
“It seems many of us believe we can help ourselves to all manner of things without a moment's hesitation or guilt.”
