Ten rare baby names

Looking for baby name inspiration?

Yesterday, we learned that Finn is set to be one of the most popular male names this year but there are other less-known monikers likely to take centre stage too.

You may recognise some of the below names from TV shows, books etc and parents are now looking further than traditional baby name books to name their offspring.

Laura Wattenberg, author and baby name expert, has shared her insights on what ‘rare’ baby names are going to become widely used in 2018.

Laura, founder of Baby Name Wizard, explained that every year there are 100 baby names “given to 100 American boys or girls for the first time ever” and she refers to this as the ‘100 club’.
