It looks like Adele could have a major comeback in the works, and may even headline next year’s Glastonbury.
The soulful singer, who is rumoured to have a third studio album release in the works, is fancied by the bookies to headline the five-day music festival in 2016.
Bookies suspect that Adele will headline.
Tickets for next year’s festival go on sale in just a couple of weeks and Ladbrokes have been forced to slash the Someone Like You singer’s odds as an influx of bets has made them suspicious of a leak.
The betting chain has cut Adele’s odds of claiming one of three headling gigs on the Pyramid Stage in 2016 into even money both online and in shops.
The Foo Fighters are also favourites to headline.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Adele’s going to be rolling in the Glastonbury mud next year if this gamble is on the money. Punters have piled into her odds, and with tickets on sale in a couple of weeks Festival organisers may have let a cat out of the bag”.
Adele famously declined the festival back in 2011, telling Q Magazine at the time: “I have anxiety attacks, constant panicking on stage, my heart feels like it’s going to explode because I never feel like I’m going to deliver, ever.
“I will not do festivals. The thought of an audience that big frightens the life out of me. I don’t think the music would work either. It’s all too slow. I’d hate to book a festival and have a ******* anxiety attack and then not go on stage.”
Adele previously declined to perform at the festival.
Ladbroke’s latest betting to headline any night on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival 2016 is as follows:
Foo Fighters 4/5
Adele Evens
Coldplay 2/1
Blur 5/2
AC/DC 3/1
Ed Sheeran 3/1

Fleetwood Mac 4/1
Pink Floyd 4/1
Sam Smith 4/1
Bruce Springsteen 5/1
Kate Bush 5/1
Led Zeppelin 5/1
Muse 5/1
Rihanna 5/1
