Delta Goodrem Does a ‘Taylor Swift’ and Blasts Ex-Fiance Brian McFadden on New Album

The lyrics to some of Delta's new songs are causing quite a stir...

We bet Brian McFadden’s ears are burning this morning, as according to reports, his ex-fiancée Delta Goodrem has done a bit of a Taylor Swift and blasted him in a series of songs on her new album. Awkward!

Apparently Delta’s new album features a host of songs about a failed relationship and it is believed that the Australian singer is actually hitting out at her Irish ex, Brian. In one song entitled I Lost All Love 4 U, Delta sings: “go and live your life, find another wife.” Ouch.

The album, which is called Child of the Universe, also contains a track called Dancing With a Broken Heart in which Delta belts out the lyrics: “I wasted so many years, cried so many tears.”

While Delta could be singing about absolutely anything, top critics (and a few fans) reckon that the lyrics are aimed at Brian McFadden. In fact, one top music critic in Australia claims that the lyrics are “oddly candid about her split with Brian McFadden” and that many of the tracks are simply “another ear-burner for McFadden.”

The good news for Delta is that the critics are loving her new sound and that the album itself sounds like “a woman scorned and reborn.”

Delta’s ex Brian McFadden married Vogue Williams in Italy last month

Delta and Brian ended their engagement last year after their seven-year relationship fell apart. Delta has previously spoken about her troubled partnership with the former Westlife star and recently admitted that she was “really unhappy” during the time she spent with him.

“I was really unhappy and I didn’t know how to get out,” she said.

“I learned. I got there in the end,” she added.

Delta is now believed to be moving on and is rumoured to be in a relationship with a well-known TV presenter. Meanwhile, Brian had a whirlwind romance with Fade Street star Vogue Williams and last month, the pair tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Italy.

Given the fact that both of them are now happy in new relationships, it’s probably a good idea to leave the past where it belongs instead of dragging it up again, eh Delta?
